On average it costs no more than $15.00 a month to properly maintain a swimming pool no matter what your geographical
I would like to get Two things across right away: Why this website was created…
- People who don’t know How to clean a Pool - You Are Destroying your swimming pool!
Without Proper Chemical Balance the water in your pool will become aggressive and "seeks out" the chemicals it needs to become balanced.
Where does it find these chemicals?
Your swimming pools surface (finish), above and underground plumbing, pump, filter, and everything in between. If you don’t know how to combat Corrosive Water and perform the sequential steps to properly balance your pool water, the results will be extremely costly.
2. Those of you who Pay someone to take care of your pool - Have you ever watched what your pool guy does? What does it take him a whopping 5 - 10mins at most!
I would like to ask this group of people just one question…
When is it that you became so rich you could afford to pay your pool guy over $80.00 an hour, minimum!
A little math for you:
Say you pay your pool guy $97/month – He comes once a week and spend 15min’s there each time.
That’s:
15min X 4weeks = 1 Hour a Month
2.5 gal’s of Liquid Chlorine sells for about $3.50.
Buying 40lb’s of 3’’ Chlorine Tabs (about 75 tabs) will cost you around $80.00 a bucket.
After dividing $80.00 by 75 tabs you figure out that each 3’’ chlorine tab cost $1.06.
$1.06 + $3.50 for 2.5gal liquid chlorine = $4.56 of Chemical cost a week.
Since an average pool only needs half that amount of liquid chlorine a week, for arguments sake will say it costs $2.81 ($1.06 per tab + $1.75 for 1.2gal’s of chlorine).
So, $2.81 a week X 4 weeks = $11.24 a month. (Actual cost to maintain the pool)
Cost of Pool Service - Cost of Chemicals = Labor charge a.k.a. Pool Guy Profit
$97.00 - $11.24 = $85.76 …. You are paying your pool guy $85.76 an hour!
*** set up a table where theres a button that calculates this equation – have the button caption read click here to see how much money your pool guy makes – let them input the variables so they can use their actual cost***
Makes you think when you see it written down doesn’t it.
So even after this fact is known, why is it people are not cleaning their own swimming pool & spa?
I can understand those who are not physically able to take care of their own pool, or those who go away for portions of the year, but what about you. What’s your excuse?
The #1 reason I hear from my customers?
They don’t understand there pool, that stuff over behind the bushes making noise might as well be a nuclear reactor to them. Their oblivious of it, and don’t want to touch it because it could cost them thousands of dollars, or even worse – hurt them.
